10 Signs That You’re Pregnant
Missed Period – If your menstrual cycle is usually predictable and you’ve missed your period by a week, it might be a good idea to grab a pregnancy test! For the best result, try to wait an extra week after your missed period.
Tender Breasts – Breast tenderness happens when your hormones rise, causing more blood flow and fluid retention. This often leads to your breasts feeling fuller and a bit tender!
Nausea – Around 8 out of 10 women experience nausea, often called “morning sickness,” but let’s be honest—it can stick around all day! Some might deal with vomiting, while others don’t. The cause of this nausea isn’t fully understood, but the good news is that it usually clears up by about 12 to 20 weeks.
Spotting – Don’t be fooled—light spotting can happen that looks just like your period! If the spotting is lighter than what you usually see, it could be implantation bleeding. This typically occurs about 10 to 14 days after conception.
Cramping – And don’t be fooled by cramping it’s pretty common during pregnancy! It’s just your uterus expanding, which causes the ligaments and muscles around it to stretch.
Cravings – Pregnancy hormones can boost your sense of taste and smell, which might explain those unexpected cravings and food aversions. So if your favorite dish just doesn’t hit the same anymore or you’re suddenly craving a Big Mac at 3 am (guilty, that was mine), it could be time to grab a test!
Heartburn – Heartburn is a typical experience during pregnancy! It happens because those lovely hormones can impact the valve at the entrance of your stomach, leading to some stomach acid sneaking back up into your esophagus.
Libito – If you’re feeling a little more hot and heavy, don’t stress! It’s just a common sign of pregnancy. You might notice your sex drive picking up between the first and second trimesters!
Mood Swings – Mood swings are totally normal during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester! With all those hormones doing their thing, it makes sense that you might feel a bit all over the place. You’re not alone in this!
You Just Know – You might just have a feeling—some people really know when something’s going on with their body, and they’re usually spot on! If you suspect you might be pregnant, head to the store and pick up a test.
